Meshin - A Xerox Company

Meshin, a Xerox funded project incubated inside Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), found its original roots inside PARC's world renowned research facility with efforts focused on engineering semantic software applications to increase the productivity of today's information workers. Using natural language processing, context-aware computing and image recognition technologies a team of seasoned business professionals supported by PARC researchers have created a 'context-aware information services' platform to harvest a semantic mesh of information relationships that contextually connects disparate information across a user's information systems.

Core Team

Andrew Mochalskyy Andrew Mochalskyy, VP Engineering

Andrew has empirically proven that soccer (aka "the real football") is indeed the best game in the world, and that baseball is not even a game.

Chris Holmes Chris Holmes, CEO

Chris indulges in his hobby of photography when he's not managing the project and he agrees with Andrew that football is indeed the best game in the world and that baseball is not even a game!

David Peck David Peck, Social Media Strategist

Dave is the key connection to meshin's customers, thought leaders and trends using the latest in social media as well as events big and small. He began his life in social media as Britney Mason, as 26 year old female blond, in the infamous second life and has been involved in establishing brands for the likes of Coca-Cola and Stella McCartney.

Kristin Galliani Kristen Galliani, VP Marketing & Customer Programs

Whether she is balancing marketing for Meshin or cooking a special dinner at home, Kristen delights in keeping lots of plates spinning all at the same time.

Meng Lay Meng Lay, Software Engineer

Meng takes his true nature of attention to detail to all sorts of levels. He likes to sort his bills by denomination in ascending order.

Mila Stadlin Mila Stadlin, QA Engineer

Mila, often found taking leisurely strolls around a lake and avoiding bugs in the real world, prefers to find bugs in software and although she is quite curious about the definition of what a "game" really is, she would pick a medical drama over sports any day.

Pavel Fomin Pavel Fomin, Senior QA Engineer

While not testing Meshin, Pavel has worked out a reproducible scenario that by having enough cold beers and hot dogs football can be as fun as soccer, and even baseball starts looking as a real sport.

Peter Hizalev Peter Hizalev, Chief Architect

When he is not busy climbing the mountainous challenges of developing complex software applications Peter can be found cycling as far as his legs will take him.

Simon Carroll Simon Carroll, Software Engineer

Typically contrarian, Simon, despite having lived in Spain for six months, is certain that football (the ball with the corners) is the superior sport.

Tyler Austen Tyler Austen, Senior Software Engineer

When not on his motorcyle or adding more code comments than would strictly be necessary, Tyler spends his time reminding people in his gentle Canadian way, that the best sport is actually "catch and release moose hunting". The sight of a team of flannel-garbed Northern Ontario woodsmen hooting and hollering to scare a moose towards a net brings a wistful tear to his eye.

Yuriy Frankiv Yuriy Frankiv

When Yuriy is not spending time driving around California with his family, he continuously tries to improve Meshin, make it solid and robust. Soccer is only the sport game he understands rules for.

Research Support

Alan Walendowski Alan Walendowski

Alan is commonly mistaken for Hawaiian, Samoan, Inuit, Native American, and Philipino but is none of these. Can you guess the right answer?

Kyle Dent Kyle Dent

Kyle worked as a lobsterman and taught English as a Second Language - but not at the same time as lobsters are not interested in speaking at all.

Oliver Brdiczka Oliver Brdiczka, Chief Scientist

If he's not meditating in the mountains above San Francisco, Oliver develops algorithms and formulas to make Meshin (even) more intelligent (and when stumped he meditates on the answer).

Shane Ahern Shane Ahern

Shane, when he's not working on integrating data from the Web into Meshin, is trying to develop software that his one-and-a-half year old daughter wants to use.
